Canoe Creek Watershed

Canoe Creek Watershed is a 24 square mile watershed located entirely within central Blair County. It is split almost evenly between Catharine Township and Frankstown Township. The watershed contains portions of State Game Lands 166; it also houses Canoe Creek Lake and the entire Canoe Creek State Park. The Park is a popular destination for swimming, hiking, and fishing, among other recreational activities.

The Canoe Creek Watershed lies within the Turkey and Scotch Valleys, and is sandwiched between the Sinking Run Watershed and the Frankstown Branch of the Juniata River Watershed.  The main tributary, Canoe Creek, flows south until it joins the Frankstown Branch.
