Huston Township Municipality

Huston Township is located in southeastern Blair County. The township is bordered by Woodbury Township to the north, North Woodbury Township to the south, Frankstown Township to the west, and the Huntingdon County line to the east. Huston is approximately 34.5 square miles in size and was home to 1,300 people as of 2010.

With the many creeks and watersheds that run through Huston Township, the area takes pride in its surrounding environment and the numerous recreational activities it provides. Tributaries include Clover Creek and Piney Creek, and a tiny portion of the Plum Creek watershed also passes through the township.  Huston Township’s eastern and western borders are State Game Lands, and the huge Raystown Lake (8,300 acres) is right across the border in Huntingdon County.
