North Woodbury Township is located in the southeastern corner of Blair County. The township borders Taylor Township to the west, Bedford County to the south, and a small portion of Huntingdon County to the east. The township completely surrounds the borough of Martinsburg. North Woodbury encompasses an area of approximately 20.8 square miles and was home to a population of 2,600 people during the 2010 census.
North Woodbury Township is actually located south of Woodbury Township in Blair County. However, the township was originally part of Bedford County, and is indeed found north of the Woodbury Township in Bedford.
The Clover Creek, Plum Creek, Upper Yellow Creek, and a tiny portion of the Piney Creek watersheds all pass through North Woodbury. Also, the eastern border of North Woodbury Township follows the ridgecrest of Tussey Mountain.
